Yoga & Breathwork

Gentle yoga and breathwork for a steadier body and mind

You do not need to be flexible, sporty or spiritual to benefit from yoga. Our sessions focus on comfortable movement, good alignment and simple breathing techniques that help you feel looser, stronger and calmer.

Overview

Movement and breath that meet you where you are

Many people come to us after trying a crowded class where they felt rushed, lost or worried about getting hurt. Our yoga and breathwork sessions are different. We work in small numbers or one-to-one, explain every movement, and offer modifications so that each posture feels safe for your body on that day.

Sessions blend gentle mobility, strengthening postures, balance work and relaxation. Breathwork is woven throughout: learning to breathe slowly and fully through the nose, to lengthen the exhale and to use specific techniques for energy or calm.

Practices you will learn

  • Foundational postures: standing, seated and floor poses for strength, flexibility and posture
  • Joint-friendly mobility: movements that ease stiffness in the neck, shoulders, hips and back
  • Diaphragmatic breathing: the basis of every other breathing practice
  • Calming techniques: extended exhale and box breathing for stressful moments
  • Energising techniques: gentle, safe practices for sluggish mornings
  • Deep relaxation: guided rest to help the body recover

Every client receives a short home sequence, so the benefits continue between sessions. Ten minutes a day, practised consistently, often does more than one long class a week.

02

A few minutes of breath awareness to settle the mind and prepare the body.

03

04

Rest

Guided relaxation and a short breathing practice to take into the rest of your day.

Try this today

Try the four-six breath

This simple technique helps many people feel calmer within a couple of minutes:

  • Sit comfortably with your back supported and shoulders relaxed
  • Breathe in gently through your nose for a count of four
  • Breathe out slowly through your nose or softly pursed lips for a count of six
  • Repeat for eight to ten rounds, keeping the breath smooth and unforced

If you feel light-headed at any point, return to normal breathing. Practise once in the morning and once before bed for a week, and notice what changes.

Questions

Yoga and breathwork FAQs

Have a question we have not covered? Send us a message and we will reply within one working day.

Yes — flexibility is a result of practice, not a requirement. Every posture can be adapted, and we never push you into positions that feel uncomfortable.

Comfortable clothes you can move in. For in-person sessions, mats and props are provided. For online sessions, a mat or rug and a cushion are enough.

Gentle breathing practices are safe for most people, but some stronger techniques are not suitable during pregnancy or with certain heart, lung or blood-pressure conditions. We screen before teaching.

Short daily practice works best. We usually suggest ten to fifteen minutes at home most days, plus a guided session weekly or fortnightly.

Our classes focus on movement, breath and relaxation. They are welcoming to people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
